Meet The Leadership Team
Ethan Brown
Hi, I'm Ethan and I have been working at The Shipyard since August of 2022. I currently serve as a the General Manager of The Shipyard. I am majoring in Economics and Data Analytics and I expect to graduate in May of 2026. After Berry, I plan to pursue a PhD in Economics. One skill that I have developed in this role that I expect to use beyond Berry is leadership through initiative and organization. Leading new projects has taught me how to manage multiple responsibilities, communicate clearly with my team, and adapt when challenges arise. Balancing people-focused leadership with day-to-day operations has strengthened my ability to lead thoughtfully and confidently, skills that will carry forward well beyond my time at Berry.
Abby Dini
Hi, I'm Abby and I am a GM for The Shipyard. I started in this role Spring 2023. I am a dual major in Environmental Science and Economics, and my expected graduation date is May 2026. After I graduate, I will be working for Kimley-Horn Engineering and Planning Consultants as an environmental analyst. A skill that I have developed at Berry that will be useful beyond Berry is the ability to think critically to solve problems and lead a team while establishing a positive work environment.
Lauren Carnes
Hi, I'm Lauren and I have been working at the Shipyard since Spring of 2023. I am a communication major graduating in May of 2026. After Berry, I hope to get a job and continue growing in the field of nonprofit communications, combining creativity, empathy, and strategy to help organizations share their mission and connect with their communities. One skill I’ve developed as a team specialist at The Shipyard that I expect to use beyond Berry is leadership through clear communication. I have learned how important it is to give clear expectations, listen actively, and adapt my communication style to different people and situations. Managing tasks, resolving issues quickly, and supporting a team under pressure has strengthened my ability to lead with confidence and empathy, which are skills that will be valuable in any professional setting after Berry.
